TEMAK has delivered and commissioned a large-scale, robotic IPX9K water jet testing system at the New Energy Laboratory of NAST (Xiangyang National Automotive Quality Supervision and Testing Center), a leading automotive testing authority in China. The system will be used for validating the sealing integrity of new energy vehicle battery packs and other large components against high-pressure, high-temperature water ingress.

The system performs stringent IPX9K testing, compliant with international standards including IEC 60529 and ISO 20653. It subjects products to close-range water jets with pressure up to 12,000 kPa (120 Bar) and water temperature up to 90°C, simulating extreme conditions such as high-pressure steam cleaning or torrential rainfall.
High-Capacity Robotic Testing: Features a 1000 kg capacity turntable and an adjustable gantry to accommodate large battery packs (up to 3000 x 2000 x 800 mm).

Precision Spray Control: Offers precise control over water pressure (8,000-12,000 kPa), flow rate (8-20 L/min ±1 L/min), and temperature (ambient to 90°C ±2°C).
Programmable Coverage: Nozzles switch between four angles (0°, 30°, 60°, 90°) and follow programmable Z-patterns to ensure full coverage on five surfaces.

Automated Operation & Safety: Utilizes a Mitsubishi-based control interface with a 10-inch touchscreen for programming complex test sequences. A multi-tiered safety architecture includes zone isolation with door interlocks, comprehensive electrical protection, and mandatory pre-start safety checks.
This project was supported by TEMAK's production base in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, demonstrating the company's ability to provide efficient localized manufacturing, commissioning, and service for clients in Central China and beyond.

TEMAK operates manufacturing facilities and a service network across China and Southeast Asia, delivering customized environmental test solutions for the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and medical device industries.
